After this year's launch of products belonging to the highest category of audio products, Bose has presented other novelties. The first of these are the affordable QuietComfort Earbuds wireless in-ear headphones with excellent Bose signature sound, active noise canceling (ANC) technology, wireless charging and a custom voice control that easily activates all key functions. The second novelty is the compact soundbar Bose Smart Soundbar, which is primarily designed for listening to movie sound including Dolby Atmos. It uses special pressure speakers and reflections from the walls and ceiling to create surround sound. At the same time, it will also serve excellently for listening to music. It can easily be integrated into a complex wireless distribution of music in an apartment or house.
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds Even though the QuietComfort Earbuds come with a very surprisingly low price tag, they bring features that no Bose headphones have offered before. These include, for example, proprietary voice control technology. Thanks to it, the user "with his hands in his pockets" can answer or end a call, control the playback volume and the suppression of noise from the surroundings, or start or stop the transparent mode, which allows him to communicate with his surroundings without removing the headphones from his ears. Voice control is not dependent on any smart voice assistant, everything is provided by Bose's own technology. Control is activated with the voice command "Hey headphones" and continues with pre-defined English commands, a list of which users can find in the new Bose QC Earbuds app. It was created on the occasion of the launch of these headphones, and compared to the existing application, it offers much greater possibilities. Of course, it is also possible to control the key functions using the touch surfaces of the plugs, each of them offers four different gestures, their functions can be adjusted in the application.
Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are also the first Bose headphones to offer wireless QI charging. Superior sound and excellent ANC quality are almost unnecessary to emphasize in the case of Bose. Nevertheless, especially from the point of view of ANC performance and sound, the previously presented Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds remain at the top.
The headphones are small and use Bose's proven combination of two silicone parts for a firm yet comfortable in-ear fit, each of which comes in three sizes. This opens up their potential in sports, especially in combination with a high-quality transparent mode that allows you to perceive the surrounding events while running. When used outdoors, they will not be destroyed by rain or sweat, the IPX4 specification guarantees their resistance to splashing water. They can play for up to 8.5 hours on a single charge, and from the case, which charges for 20 minutes, it is possible to charge them for another approximately 21 hours of listening.
The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds were launched in three colors – black, smoky white and chilled lilac. It should most likely appear on our market already at the beginning of October, their recommended final price will be 199 €.
Bose Smart Soundbar with Dolby Atmos
Bose's second September novelty is a compact smart soundbar. Its strengths include excellent reproduction and the ability to create surround sound, for which it uses reflections from the walls and ceiling. Thanks to this, when watching movies with a full-fledged Dolby Atmos soundtrack, it can also reproduce the effects coming to the listeners' ears from above. The Bose Smart Soundbar can easily be integrated into a home sound system based on the Bose app, allowing you to control music and sound zones throughout your home. In addition, the soundbar is fully compatible with Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and Chromecast. When reproducing movie sound, it uses elements of artificial intelligence to improve the intelligibility of dialogues, as well as Bose TrueSpace technologies. It can create surround sound even for older movies with a stereo or 5.1 soundtrack.
The compact soundbar itself can create very impressive bass and surround sound. If the user would like an even more intense experience, he can supplement it with a wireless subwoofer or wireless Bose rear satellite speakers. A very interesting variant is also offered by the combination of a soundbar and open headphones Bose Ultra Open Earbuds, which can function as rear speakers after connecting in the application.
The Smart Soundbar ranks behind the top Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar model in the Bose sound bar range, which offers more speakers, an even more intense spatial experience, and also the possibility of precise calibration, which sets the reproduction exactly according to the spatial layout of a particular room.
The Bose Smart Soundbar will be available in our market at the beginning of October. It is available in a sleek black finish, with an MSRP of 549 €.
