With its sonic performance, Carina continues the ELAC tradition and uses the JET tweeter, chosen for its amazing clarity, dynamics and impact. In order for Cariana to be able to meet these requirements, a new bass speaker with a newly shaped aluminum cone diaphragm was designed for her. The frequencies of both converters are smoothly mixed using a sophisticated crossover. This creates an organically alive sound experience. Sophisticated curvature of the woofer diaphragm

To take advantage of the capabilities of the JET tweeter while guaranteeing a smooth transition from the woofer to the JET tweeter, a compound-curve conical diaphragm was designed for the woofer to control the diaphragm's distortion frequency, which moved far beyond the operating range of the woofer. The large-diameter voice coil and oversized vented pole piece provide remarkable bass dynamics and rich, powerful delivery.

For more flexible speaker placement and to minimize ventilation noise, the Carina series bass reflex port is directed into the floor and exits from the bottom of the speaker cabinet.
