True Violet visit MUSIC Studios LA for Facebook Live interview and performance

3 piece girl band with rhythm sisters Kayla & Alayna Miller and lead singer/guitarist Jessie Covets

All-girl indie pop trio True Violet visited MUSIC Studios LA this past week for the weekly Inside MUSIC Facebook Live broadcast. Originally from Florida, the girls moved out to LA a few years back and have been playing some of the city’s most famous venues, including The Roxy, Whisky A Go Go, Viper Room and The Troubadour.

Consisting of vocalist/guitarist Jessie Covets and sisters Kayla Miller on drums and Alayna Miller on bass, they have persevered in the male dominated music biz and have served as their own management, booking agent and publicist, forming a strong bond of sisterhood.

This DIY ethic extends to their new self-produced EP, with vocalist Jessie Covets saying “We just wanted to transform our sound to be genuinely us, so every note, every chord, every lyric, background vocal, it is 100% here… It is a new wave of freedom that we have accomplished with this self-production.”
